Terms and Community Guidelines
These terms explain the basic rules for using Waka. They may be updated as Waka expands, adds markets, or introduces new passenger and rider services.
Platform role
Waka provides a technology marketplace where passengers can request rides and approved riders can negotiate and accept rides. Riders are responsible for lawful driving, vehicle condition, licensing, insurance, and safe completion of accepted rides.
Passenger responsibilities
- Use accurate pickup, destination, stop, timing, and contact information.
- Do not request unsafe, unlawful, abusive, or misleading rides.
- Use in-app negotiation and payment paths when available.
- Meet the rider at the agreed pickup point and report issues through Waka support.
Rider responsibilities
- Apply with truthful identity, vehicle, insurance, license, tax, and payout information.
- Activate availability only when ready to review and perform ride requests.
- Do not accept a ride you cannot reasonably perform safely and legally.
- Use navigation responsibly, obey traffic laws, and complete the ride only at drop-off.
Fare negotiation and payment
Ride fares are agreed before a match. When either side accepts the active fare proposal, Waka closes negotiation for that request, removes it from the open marketplace, and moves the matched passenger and rider into the ride flow. Waka may require payment or payout setup before certain ride or payout actions are available.
Safety and conduct
- No harassment, threats, discrimination, fraud, impersonation, or off-platform pressure.
- No sharing another person's private information without permission.
- No attempt to bypass masked communication, payment controls, eligibility checks, or Waka review.
- Waka may suspend, restrict, or close accounts when safety, fraud, payment, or compliance concerns arise.
Support
Use Waka support inside the app for account, ride, payment, safety, technical, or compliance questions. Waka may review relevant ride, account, payment, communication, and safety records to resolve issues.
